DIGITAL & PHYSICAL MAGAZINE DESIGN
For this school project, I designed both a physical and a digital magazine dedicated to my favorite rapper, Nathan John Feuerstein, better known as NF. While both versions shared the same core content, the digital edition featured a distinct design tailored for on-screen reading. I designed the layouts, typography, and visual elements myself, incorporating a modern, edgy, and dark aesthetic to reflect NF’s signature style. The magazine includes concert photography, album and song artwork, fan art, and sections covering his childhood, motivations, inspirations, and notable quotes from his lyrics. It also touches on themes of mental health and offers a brief feature on his 2023 album, Hope.

Design Concept
The magazine’s overall design follows a modern, edgy, and dark aesthetic, relying heavily on black, gray, and muted tones to mirror NF’s signature style and lyrical themes. However, for the section dedicated to his album Hope, I broke from this palette and introduced softer gray shades paired with subtle ocean-blue accents. This shift symbolizes the album’s more uplifting themes, highlighting NF’s journey through struggles with mental health toward a future centered on family, love, and hope for a better life.
